Samsung

Samsung has launched in the U.S., a 11.6-inch notebook product line Series 9 in the trade. This Samsung laptop apparently wants the same size to compete with MacBook Air. Many product characteristics are consistent with the MacBook Air.

Some time ago, Samsung was already a 13.3-inch notebook in the Series 9 is brought into the trade. It has surprisingly many similarities to the MacBook Air, there is also a 13.3-inch display. The case is only 1.63 inches thick – the MacBook Air is 1.73 inches. Also the weight is slightly less than 1.4 kg are very similar.

Now Samsung has added the Series 9 range for another model to even the 11.6-inch MacBook Air can offer a counterpoint. Both devices weigh just over one kilogram. While it is clear that Samsung follows the requirements of Apple, but there are some differences.

Samsung has already built in such way-i-Core processors from Intel, while the Apple MacBook Air is still on a Core 2 Duo. In addition, the small notebook, the Samsung Series 9 can already show a USB 3.0 connection, while the Apple laptop still has to make do with USB 2.0. The next generation of the MacBook Air will probably get a Thunderbolt port. Another difference is evident in the connectivity. The Apple product can only connect via wireless Internet connection, it works well with Samsung via WiMAX.
